Founded in 1973 as a long-established traditional team under the umbrella of Shimano Co., Ltd., a bicycle parts manufacturer. After operating as a Dutch-registered team, it was registered as a Japanese UCI Continental Team in 2009. The team aims to cultivate athletes capable of competing at the world's top level, participating in overseas competitions while also shining in domestic J Pro Tour events.
